LaHood killed Lieutenant Governor Patrick's priority bills to stop lawsuit abuse. As a result, Democrat personal injury lawyers flooded his campaign coffers with $1 million. Similar legislation passed in Florida, where residents just a received a $1 billion rebate on their insurance. That won’t happen here in Texas now because LaHood killed the legislation so the money can line the pockets of trial lawyers instead.
LaHood’s campaign is now bankrolled by Anti-Trump personal injury lawyers who give hundreds of thousands to radical Democrats like Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi and Elizabeth Warren. These ambulance chasers have given LaHood over $1 million after killing Republican tort reform legislation that would have driven down your insurance rates.

More than almost anyone else, on controversial votes, LaHood would vote one way at this desk and then go to the clerk and ask the record to show the opposite vote – so he could have it both ways. Depending on who he is talking to, he can scam voters by saying he supported AND opposed the same legislation.

Just before taking office, LaHood’s wife began working as a lobbyist. LaHood refused to disclose his wife’s occupation as required on ethics disclosure forms, hiding from voters any profits they make from his influential elected position.
